Doctors advise that genotype screening of infants should be done after 6 months because the presence of fetal haemoglobin might make the result inconclusive.

Some intending couples with incompatible genotype justify their insistence on getting married by stating that medical advancement has made it possible to detect the genotype of a 3 month old foetus.  If it reads SS, they will abort the baby and plan for another.

CONCERNS:
– How conclusive is that genotype screening?
– How many babies are you willing to abort?
– What is the guarantee you’ll get pregnant again?
– Do you know that choosing to do the right thing (as difficult as it might be to make that decision), will guarantee you greater peace of mind?

In conclusion, killing is a sin. Do not consciously make a decision that will expose you to the option of abortion.
