FOUR-WAY TEST JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL DRIVE
Bullying is a serious problem for our young ones in secondary schools. It is a threat not to be ignored and can have negative consequences on the general school climate and on the right of students to learn in a safe environment without fear.
Our focal group were the Junior Secondary School Class three students who will soon be elected school leaders.
Bullying can also have lifelong consequences both for the bully and the bullied.
We defined the concept of bullying, forms of bullying; causes of bullying in both the bullies and bullied and the effect of bullying.
Sharing the Rotary Four-Way Test today in a very interactive session, we strategized on how it should serve as a guiding principle in our daily interactions with others.
The students also felt that public awareness and knowledge about bullying behaviour problem can be a sure way of reducing it.
And that is what our drive is about.
