The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Cosmopolitan in recognition of the importance of education and literacy and continuation of her yearly signature project, distributed bags of textbooks, workbooks and exercise books to all 164 students of the Special Needs School for the disabled, including the adult education section.

Without these interventions, most of these students won’t have books to adequately participate in their studies to attain their full potential. It was sad to see a lot of the students were absent as a result of the high cost of transportation further widening the literacy gap if action is not taken to help in this regard.

The principals, teachers and students are ever grateful.
We were taught to sign “I love you” by the students. Always a delight to be in their cheerful and loving presence.
